The roots of Belvédère go back to 1861 when Lambert van Zessen opened his ‘Logement en Koffiehuis’ on the old defensive work ‘De Kat’. The start of a rich tradition in hospitality. Over the centuries, the building transformed from lodging to society, dining room, and café-restaurant to the iconic Hotel-Restaurant it is today.
The families that have managed this unique building have each left their personal mark. This rich history forms the iconic meeting place that Belvédère is today. We are proud to welcome you here and make you part of our special story!
